Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School is a Summer Tradition at BFUMC!
We offer Vacation Bible School every summer for children age 3 through 5th grade. It's a wonderful time of learning about God through music, worship, crafts, Bible stories, food, and fellowship. We raise money for mission projects, bring in special guests (sometimes furry ones!), and end our time together by inviting friends and family to a commencement program and hot dog supper. For dates and details, call the church office at 246-4311 or watch the church newsletter and the website for updates.
The theme for our 2011 Vacation Bible School was the "Shake It Up Cafe." Our "Little Chefs" started their VBS experience every night with a light meal. This was followed by a visit from Chef Basil & Scraps, who demonstrated the Discovery moment each night. Then, the chefs went to the various cafes for a Bible story, music, crafts, and recreation. Nonperishable food items were collected for donation to United Ministries. This year's VBS at Berea Friendship touched 23 young lives, and the rest of the congregation was touched by their eagerness to learn and carry out God's recipe.
